About Alie

I would describe my personality as creative, outgoing, and caring. I love working with kids because of their curiosity and enthusiasm about even the small things. I am currently applying to get a graduate degree in occupational therapy and have 6+ years of experience working with children from all ages and backgrounds. I'm looking for a job that allows me to create a meaningful relationship with the parents and children. Honesty and open communication with the family is important to me. I started working with kids when I began babysitting at 12! My love for kids influenced me to become a camp counselor at 16 and then onto a teachers assistant at a preschool for atypically developing children. I now shadow a pediatric occupational therapist where I have learned the importance of play as a teaching experience. In my spare time, I like to hangout with friends and family, go to the beach, draw, and I also love dogs :) Additionally I have a valid drivers license and car.
