About Alice

I have experience working as a writing tutor for friends and classmates. I have also briefly volunteered as a math tutor at two separate schools. I worked in 2011 as a German tutor for two high school students preparing for an IB German exam. I also helped German classmates with spelling, grammar, sentence structure and pronunciation of English during my exchange year in Germany. Although I've worked extensively in various subjects, I have only volunteered and have not had a paying tutoring job. I am happy to tutor elementary school-aged children in most subjects, including English, social studies, and math. I will also work with those who speak English as a second language and are preparing for the TOEFL, or who are looking to improve their English in general. I can help middle- and high-school aged students with writing skills, and have a particular strength in essay-writing. Working over the summer, I'm happy to help students hoping to get ahead or catch up in time for the next school year. I will work with the student to discover their strengths and weaknesses before building a program that will help them reach their goals. Contact me with any questions!
