About Alfonse

Hello! My name is Alfonse and I am a former middle school math teacher that lead a successful 5th grade (foundational math skills - adding, multiplying, subtracting, dividing whole numbers and decimals, fractions, volume, with a focus on word problems and decoding word problems) and 8th grade (algebra) math programs. I pivoted from teaching this past summer to focus on a career as an x-ray technologist, however, the love and passion for math and spreading my knowledge of math to the youth will always be a passion of mine. I am able to offer general help of content knowledge but also differentiated help, as I specialized in assisting students with individualized educational plans reach their goals. I am persistent, knowledgeable, and am a firm believer that every child is capable of being great at math. I hope to work with you and your child to reach third academic goals!
