There comes a point in everyone's life where we need a helping hand. Let me be your helping hand! I'm an experienced caregiver who has been a friend and confidant to the elderly. I'm someone who understands what it feels like to not be 100%. I watched my brother in law who is a father become depressed. He was perfectly healthy until an accident made it hard for him to walk alone. I watched how hard it was for him to allow people to help him walk. In his mind he still felt like the strong independent man as before. Working with 24/7 made me realize that he didn't need someone to do it for him or sympathy. He wanted a friend to vent to who still made him feel independent. I was his friend because I put myself in his shoes. I felt his pain and knew what it took for him to let me in and help. This inspired me to take care of people and to go back to school for nursing. What can I help with: (bathing/grooming, walking, changing/toileting -cooking/feeding, cleaning/laundry -errands/travel)
