About Alex

I'd describe my personality as patient, caring and logical. I like tutoring because I've always been good at explaining complex concepts in simple terms and being patient with kids. I'm looking for a job that allows me to more directly give back to my community than my regular tech job. I started tutoring when I was in middle school teaching elementary students Spanish. Then while at UCLA, I taught classes of high school kids music. In my spare time, I like to compose film scores, go on hikes with my girlfriend and spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I'm very patient and will work with you and your child to find the best method that resonates with their learning style. My skills include being patient, being able to explain concepts in many different ways and listening to your child to adjust my approach for what works for them.
