About Alex

Hello! My name is Alex. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I was the lead teacher in a preschool classroom for 3 years in Sugar Grove (helping to guide 15 students aged 3-5 years old). At the school, I was in charge of creating and implementing daily lesson plans and providing an enriching, safe and loving learning environment for the students. I have nannied for the past 6 years for one particular local family. My responsibilities included after school care ( pick ups, meal preparation, homework help, transportation to activities) and summer care ( typically 8 to 9 hour days). I also nanny for various other families in the community (ages 3 months to 14 years) for date nights, snow days, etc. I have been helping substitute teach at one of the local Montessori schools where I am involved with all age levels (toddler- middle school). I love to play games, make forts, create arts/crafts, read books and have adventures!
