Hello! My name is Alex. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have provided childcare in the community for the past 15 years for various families. My responsibilities included after school care ( pick ups, meal preparation, homework help, transportation to activities) and summer care ( typically 8 to 9 hour days). And have experience with ages 3 months to 14 years old. I am available for date nights, snow days, etc., weekend care. Currently I am one of the lead preschool teachers at Appalachian State University's Child Development Center. In my care are 18 children aged 2. 5-5 years old. My role is to provide a nurturing and safe environment for them to learn in. I love to play games, make forts, create art, read books and have adventures!

Alex was absolutely phenomenal! She watched our infant and his 5 older cousins multiple times over the course of 2 weeks. All the kids loved her and felt extremely comfortable in her care. As a parent, I completely trusted Alex and appreciated her clear and prompt communication. I feel lucky to have connected with Alex and would definitely hire her again :)
