About Alexis

Hi there, my name is Alexis! I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2019 with a bachelors degree in Government and Politics. Pre-Covid, I babysat for three different families, with children ranging in age from 1yrs to 12 yrs. The following summer, I worked at a daycare, caring for primarily newborns and toddlers. I was then offered a nannying/house manager position, where I did light cleaning, dishes, laundry, and appointment scheduling along with childcare. At the beginning of the 2022 school year, I began working as a long term substitute teacher, then subsequently accepted a position as a full time 2nd grade Elementary School Teacher. Furthermore, I have both personal and professional experience working with children with intellectual disabilities. I am super positive, hard working, flexible, and patient. I love meeting new people and get along very well with others!
