My name is Alexis and I have been a nanny for 13 years. As soon as I had a car I was eager to find my first official nanny job in high school! In addition to regular babysitting/nanny experience, I worked in a Child Development Lab where I learned to take care of children and work with parents in a professional setting. Since graduating college, I worked in NOVA as a nanny and most recently with a family of 5 navigating transportation, meal prep, laundry, and pets. Before that, I had the pleasure of working with a set of twins! I often find myself becoming part of the family and it is my favorite part of the job. The kiddos I currently work with are now old enough to be self sufficient so I am looking for my next family. My ultimate goal is to make your life easier- I love cooking, enjoy cleaning, and am fond of pets. I do not smoke, have a car suitable for transporting kiddos, and always prioritize safety. My family has had the joy and privilege of working with Lex for 2 years and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her responsibilities were wide- organizing 3 kid's ( elementary and middle school) schedules, managing 3 different schools for pick ups and drop offs, planning meals and keeping the kids eating healthy, and managing their school year and summer activity schedules. She is an incredibly safe driver and always on time with the kids, and is proactive in planning routes, snacks for the road, and equipment and items the kids need. She is flexible when things change and is mission driven - focused on the well-being and healthy development of the kids. We learned a ton from her professional experiences and consulted with her often on development, norms, and behavior. I would hire her again in a second and recommend her 100%.
