We had Lexie babysit for us over the weekend. I had my two kids + a niece and nephew all in one house. We had such a great experience. 1 - she checked in with me ahead of time, because not all of the kids live in town. She wanted to make sure the youngest was going to have a safe sleep spot. We had this already, but her asking about safe sleep made me feel so confident in her experience. 2 - Both sets of the other parents did not expect success in their children going to sleep in a strange house. Somehow she managed to get those kids to sleep. We still aren't sure what magic she pulled, but that alone means she's got some sort of skills. All kids were immediately comfortable with her, she arrived 15 minutes early, was not overwhelmed when she showed up to my ENTIRE family plus two dogs still trying to get organized to get out of the house and jumped right in getting comfortable with the kids.
