My child care experience spans for over 20 years working with ages newborn to teenager. I am First Aid and CPR certified (infant, child, and adult). All of the families that I have worked with have had a minimum of two children consisting of a newborn and older child combo. I have worked in so many child-related fields and being a nanny has been the most rewarding. The gift of watching a child grow and knowing that you had a hand in it, is a blessing. Every day is an adventure and that is why I love being a nanny. I am currently studying for my licensing exam in clinical psychology. I specialize in child psychology, trauma, and working with the foster care and adoption community. Working with families allows me to utilize the skills I have acquired over the years while being in touch with the particular needs of families today. We've known Alex for over a year. She started with us when I was pregnant and had a 1.5 year old daughter. After the birth of our son in Apr, Alex continued to work with our family until our move out of the area. From the start, we had a great experience with Alex. She was very comfortable with our daughter and joined our family and routine seamlessly. Alex is dependable, flexible and respectful of our time. She has tremendous patience with our babies, even on their toughest days. Alex has a good understanding of the needs and abilities of children and has helped our babies to grow and learn in a warm and nurturing environment. We had many a great conversation about how to handle various situations like sleep training, feeding and helping the kids through their growth stages. She has an ear for cries and has helped me tremendously in figuring out what they are trying to say. Alex is intelligent, kind and hard-working and we are so sad to have to leave her. We highly recommend Alex.
