I like working with kids because every day is different. Kids have limitless imaginations that keep me in my toes! I'm looking for a job where there is mutual trust and respect between the family and me. It's extremely important that I feel comfortable with my employer and their children. Equally important is them feeling comfortable and confident in me. Open communication is important. I regularly babysat different children around my hometown though my high school years. After graduation, I spent two years as an Au Pair. I have nannied for the same family since 2017. I often fly home to NC to watch them while mom and dad go in adventures! 1. The most important thing I try to do is treat every kid like a human. I want to communicate with them and help them understand what's going on and why. 2. Boundaries. I respect each child's space and boundaries. If they need a minute alone, they can have it. If they need some time to process something that is happening, I respect that.
