About Alexandra

I am Lexi, a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut. At UConn, I studied psychological science with minors in human development and family studies and cognitive science. I am enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing. I have always been drawn to working with children be because of their curiosity and openness to learning. Through college I was an assistant teacher at a daycare, caring for children between four months to 4 years old. I also mentored a young girl from seven to 11 years old through Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. I posses a naturally patient and calm disposition, which helps build strong relationships and effectively manage behavior. I am also creative with an educational background in child development, so I can implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities into the daily routine. Additionally, I have a strong ability to actively listen, respond with compassion, and encourage communication.
