I'm Alexandra, a student at St. Joseph's University in Philly, hoping to work around Westchester NY during breaks. I'm flexible and able to work with a family to maneuver schedule changes, so don't let an unpredictable schedule get in the way! I am also willing to provide overnight care, including house-sitting. I believe a positive attitude is just as important for working with pets as it is with people- I find excitement translates across species well! My formal experience with pet sitting and dog walking began in high school and spans 5 years, but I have been taking care of my own two cats since elementary school. I am confident in reading your pets' body language, crucial to ensuring their comfort by allowing me to provide an experience that is both fun and appropriate. I am also very confident in working with cats (I have raised more than 10 kittens!) and I have yet to meet a pet that I didn't like!

Alexandra was clearly the right hire for my two dogs. For starters, they always rush to the door whenever she comes over to watch them, so that was already a good sign for me. Secondly, she would always go above and beyond of what we would ask of her. For example, sometimes our one dog Theo leaves a trail of water after he drinks. Usually the other pet sitters (and sometimes me) would ignore this but Alexandra cleaned it up and there was no mess in sight around the water bowl. Lastly, she is very kind and understanding if things don't go as planned. On one occasion, I was running a bit late from a trip so I asked her if she would mind staying another couple hours with the dogs. She was very nice and empathetic about the situation and was able to take care of them. I would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a pet sitter, she's clearly the best of the best!
