About Alexa

As a nanny, I work very well with children and am intuitive to their needs (both for the family as a whole and to each individual child). I am focused on what the parents prefer and have experience with tutoring, supervising extracurricular activities and playdates, and developing learning and imaginative games based on the child's current stage of development. I am able to prepare meals, pack lunches, snacks and pick up the children from school. Routines are helpful for children and I always encourage them with getting dressed and ready in the mornings and washed and ready for bedtime. I have experience developing lesson plans and teaching a kindergarten class in Tanzania, as well. I have swim team experience, teaching my younger family members how to swim, and I am confident when supervising children in the pool and at the beach as well as helping teach children how to swim. I believe in teaching mindfulness and emotional intelligence and incorporating educational play.
