About Alexa

My professional experience working with children began in 2016 until 2019 when I worked as a Behavior Technician for young children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder while earning a degree in Behavior Science from Western Michigan University. I was the Lead Teacher in a Head Start program in Oregon for the 2019 school year. In 2020, I was a self-employed nanny and cared for up to 5 children between 3 families (ages 3 months to 7 years old). In 2021 I accepted a job as a Site Coordinator for an after school program in Kalkaska where we served up to 80 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade, which I only recently stepped away from (June 2024). I recently became a mom in December 2023. My hope is to find a recurring job where I can bring my baby along. I will also bring my extensive knowledge of child development, a proven ability to work with multiple children at a time, and lots of energy and creativity to any household.
