Caring for children and helping raise them to be kind, curious, creative people is my passion, and though I have a pretty laidback personality, I take my career (and child development in general) very seriously. I'm a big proponent of nature, books, art, music, and independent play, and my personal nannying style borrows aspects from Conscious Discipline, Montessori, Forest Schools, and more, with a big focus on social & emotional learning. Alexa has been caring for my special needs child on an as-needed basis for over seven years. She is warm, affectionate, gentle and kind with every child I have seen her encounter. She's approached tough situations with my son with research, patience and knowledge. She is professional, fun, engaging and always makes my son feel safe, seen and loved.
