About Alexa

Hello all! My name is Alexa, I'm 27 years old and from shoreham. I am looking for some summer part time work, as I still want to enjoy my summer. Working with kiddos and learning to understand them is my passion. I have been a teaching assistant in special education for 5 years in Great Neck Public Schools, and now at William Floyd School District. I have recently finished my student teaching and will soon be dual certified in special education and elementary education grades k-6th! I'm hoping to start as a perm sub for next school year, and get a classroom position. Prior to working in the education system, I was a nanny for a family for 4 years (whom I found off care. com) and have worked for many agencies working as support staff for children with special needs, as well as working in a residential home, caring for disabled adults.
