About Alexa

Hi, I'm Alexa! I'm a recent college grad from Georgia Southern University and currently residing near my hometown in Decatur. I graduated with my B. S. in chemistry this past May, and would like to use my degree in the healthcare field, particularly with young children. I have my basic life support certification through the American Heart Association, and although my first aid certification through the Red Cross is expired, I still have knowledge of treating some common injuries and illness. I've been teaching water-safety and swim lessons primarily to children ages 3-11 for nearly 4 years, and have childcare experience from taking care of my students outside of lessons. I'm known for being patient, positive, and flexible- every child is different, and it's important for me to learn which way they communicate best so that everyone can be safe and be happy. In terms of length of childcare, in late August I plan to teach with Nature's Classroom throughout New England until mid-November.
