About Alessia

Hi there! I'm Alessia, an underclassman college student with six years of camp counseling experience and one year of babysitting experience. I love working with kids and have had lots of opportunities to hone my skills in coming up with constructive, creative activities, conflict resolution, and building critical thinking skills. Last fall, I worked with a kindergarten student once every Friday morning on her literacy skills and building confidence with exercises, games, and lessons tailored to her personality, interests, and speed. I adapt quickly and actively pay attention, not only to a child's behavior but to how they're feeling each day so that I can best work with them in a way that makes them feel seen and appreciated.
