About Alanis

Hi there! I am located in Old Town, Alexandria and I am seeking a full time position. I am a student graduating in Spring 2028, and would love to stay at my next position until then. My experience is primarily with ages 1-5yrs, and I particularly enjoy working with toddlers! As a nanny, I like to plan educational activities and outings and I place strict limits on screen time. Children are often more cabaple than we give them the opportunity to be, and I think it is most important to create a warm and engaging environment where they can build independence and let their imagination emerge. Reading and outdoor time are priorities, and my favorite form of play is arts and crafts. I am currently pursuing a masters degree in clinical social work virtually, and I have a BA in philosophy . My personal hobbies include lots of crafting and DIY, like sewing and crochet. I also enjoy reading, skating, and hiking.
