About Alana

Hi! My name is Alana! I've always loved working with kids and getting to be part of their learning and growth. Watching children discover new things, and develop their own personalities is one of the most rewarding things. I've worked in multiple daycare centers and have nannied for several families, with experience caring for newborns to teens. I'm also almost finished with my Elementary Education degree, which has given me a deeper understanding of child development. I love incorporating Montessori and Reggio-inspired approaches into childcare--encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independence through hands-on activities. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are art projects, music, imaginative play, and spending time outdoors exploring and learning through nature. I'm CPR certified, First Aid certified, and have a Food Handlers permit, and I always prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves while learning and having fun
