I started working with kids when I was a freshman in high school, so that I would say around 15 years old, and now I am a senior in college. my first job working with kids was local, and I was so excited to get the opportunity to try to work with the kids. I believe my experience level sets me apart from other childcare workers because many people don't have a high level of experience. my skills include communication, adaptability, and patience. communication is critical and the field requires you to give instructions and ideas that are simple and easy for everyone to understand. adaptability is essential for me because childcare is a very unpredictable thing, and it is so essential that you can prepare and plan for anything that comes your way. my last childcare skill is patience, and I believe this is important because children react well to those who are patient and don't react poorly when things don't happen exactly like planned
