About Alaena

My name is Alaena I'm 28 years old. I live in Ridgewood now but before the city I was all over- working with kids in different capacities (from YMCA camps, daycares, homes, even farms). Most recently, I was working as a nanny in Bedstuy for 3 children (3. 5, 8 & 9) but have experience with any age from newborns-12 yr olds. I can do pick up or drop offs with public transportation, homework help, cooking, home organizing, laundry, and cleaning. I am very good at making a space beautiful and creating a positive atmosphere. My favorite thing to do is play music while getting dinner ready. This work can feel very joyful to me when given the tools to help properly, for example- stocking the fridge with healthy farmers market vegetables and doing meal prep for the week. Something I'd love to expand on is my growing interest for postpartum care with new moms (or any mom considering postpartum is for life) needing reliable nourishment through food and herbs.
