About Akilah

Experience: 5 yrs

I like working with kids because they have such different perspectives on the world and are filled with curiosity. It's such a privilege to help them explore and learn about the world and themselves. I started working with kids when I was young in elementary and middle school, first as a mothers helper then I started babysitting and doing more independent childcare in high school. In my spare time, I am usually found with a book, I have always loved reading I also enjoy watching shows, grabbing coffee or smoothies with friends, thrifting, and knitting every once in a while.

Excellent sitter! She was always reliable and punctual, and my daughter had a great time with her. She was creative, engaging, and made an effort to keep her active, including spending time outdoors and planning fun activities. I always felt comfortable knowing my daughter was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to other families!
