About Akiah

I'm a West Chester graduate with a bachelors in psychology and health. I've been in childcare professionally since 2022, being the oldest of my family I have a lifetime of experience with babysitting different age groups. Since graduating I've worked with children in many different forms from nannying to working for CPS. Each job allowed me to experience working with children and families in various ways, teaching me new things about children and people. I'm very calm, sweet, and fun. I love working with kids because of their innocents, limitless imagination and creativity. This feeds the psychologist in me being able to experience development in different children while able to interact with them in a helpful way as well. I like to build bonds when working with others so it doesn't feel like work but more of a friend or family interaction. I'm especially skilled at learning people well in a short time. Im excited to meet new families and hope they feel the same excitement for me too
