About Aja

I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring all ages, from 5 years old to university undergraduates. I am currently pursuing a Ph. D. at the University of Oklahoma and have two M. A. degrees. I am patient and gentle when it comes to teaching. I enjoy teaching math (especially Algebra basics), writing, reading, grammar, middle-school science, beginning Latin, and history. I also have professional experience teaching ACT and GED prep courses. Many of my students have been neurodiversity. I enjoy cultivating relationships with my students and increasing their confidence in their own abilities. I have professional experience teaching both online and in person. My hobbies include reading, learning new languages, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and imagining what I would plant in my garden if I had one. I am a history of science nerd, so my students often have to hear random facts about early science!
