I have been a certified Nursing Assistant for 15 years. I worked in a nursing home setting for the first 6yrs before venturing off into home care . I then realized how much a difference it is when keeping your loved ones at home in a familiar surroundings after seeing how much it takes a toll on the families when having to leave them a nursing home. It wasn't until my 86-year-old grandfather was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's and Dementia disease.
