About Ainsley

I am currently in an MFA program at the Pratt Institute for Creative Writing. I just moved to New York for my program from Colorado, but I grew up in Houston! I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, reliable, and empathetic. My hobbies include reading, going to concerts, knitting, swimming, and biking. I started tutoring in high school and continued through college. I am most well versed in tutoring reading comprehension and writing. However, I also have experience tutoring general study skills, history, and chemistry. I'm looking for a consistent schedule that allows me to build trust with my students. The most satisfying thing about tutoring for me is watching my students grow! I pride myself on my ability to connect with each individual, and teach based on how each are uniquely motivated to learn.
