About Afton

Hello! My name is Afton. I started providing childcare when I was 12 years old and haven't stopped since. I have experience from tiny infants to tweens. I also have worked with many families with neurodivergent children. I have plans on finishing my degree in Family and Marriage Studies soon but have already completed a number of child development classes. I have also completed projects on appropriate/inappropriate discipline and studied safety standards to have with children. My goal when providing childcare is to support the parents with their family goals and rules, and encourage children with their development and interests. I especially enjoy creating projects with children to encourage their creativity. I look forward to meeting you and your children soon!

As a mom, I was so nervous to leave a 2.5 year old and small baby (it’s a lot for ME to handle at times!) but time after time Afton demonstrated her extreme competence. She was incredibly nurturing, responsible, aware, and creative. She is a hard worker. Most of all, Afton always created a happy, peaceful environment in my home that is perhaps the best testament to the care she provided. My kids simply loved her. Taking care of a baby and toddler is no joke, but Afton truly has a gift for little ones. I would recommend her 1000x over! She is the BEST!!
