My mom had ALS for seven years of my life and I was her primary caretaker (she was fully paralyzed and nonverbal). I've dealt with everything from catheters to feeding tubes to medication administration to conflict deescalation. I can handle almost anything. I also handled her day to day feedings, full assistance using the bathroom, Hoyer lifts, full assistance showers, and effective communication when incapable of words.
