I'm extraordinarily privileged to be a licensed elementary school teacher and have spent the last six years working with children ages 3-11. I spent the past three years as a first-grade teacher after graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During the summers, I worked in Brookfield Zoo Chicago's disability-inclusion summer camp, Zoo Camp, with campers between the ages of 4-11. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, and going on long walks. I'd love to collaborate with families who value diversity, inclusivity, and emotional intelligence. I pull from a lot of SEL practices I employed in the classroom. Boundaries, consent, and empowering students to be able to self-regulate were all incredibly important topics for me as an educator, and that background will follow and inform my work.
