About Addie

With over 6 years of experience working in education, I have devoted my career to nurturing the minds and hearts of learners. With a passion for fostering a love of learning, I have committed myself to creating a positive and engaging environment for students. My journey in education began in college as a tutor overseeing after-school programs. This afterschool program was in a small group setting which focused on English, math, and study skills. Soon after, I began doing one-on-one tutoring for families in my local neighborhood while finishing and receiving my Bachelor's degree. My tutoring services ranged in age from preschool to high school. This helped me hone my skills as an educator and taught me the art of planning diverse curriculum. My focus shifted to the classroom, and I have spent the last two years serving as a lead science teacher and then as a lead third-grade teacher.
