DO NOT HIRE!!! We hired Ada L to help my grandmother as a live-in companion. My grandmother is sharp as a tack and had been living independently until we hired Ada to assist as my grandmother has some recent mobility challenges. After Ada moved in, she demanded from my 94 year old grandmother: more money for her role, every other weekend off and an additional day for a vacation monthly. None of this was a problem, we are flexible and agreed to all despite the request for more funds than we agreed to being unethical. That should have been our first red flag! One week into the role, she says that she found another job paying more and needed to leave. We were caught off guard to say the least! She claims that because she works with an agency that she earns more money and was going to give us a week to find another aide (again no problem, we just need to find care for my grandmother). Less than 12hrs after her notice, she says she has to leave the same afternoon because the other job was 'waiting for her'. This woman cannot be trusted, she is money hungry, doesnt know what loyalty looks like and practices bait and switch tactics on elderly people. BE WARNED. I wouldnt trust this person to watch a dog let alone a helpless senior citizen.
