I am a former social worker with over 12 years of experience providing a variety of services to young mothers and their children. Care. com has been an invaluable tool to find families who need the best next thing to parents' care and protection for their children while they are working or running errands or just getting a much needed break. I have accumulated lots of experience working with children and letters of recommendations that speak about the quality of work and responsibility I offer to the families I have worked for. I have been working at Riveroaks Presbyterian church for almost 10 years and I am also working two days per week with a family for whom I have worked for over 5 years. After meeting Ada, our immediate feeling was that she was an extension of our family. She genuinely cares for children and people. She has a warm presence and was a natural fit for our (then) 3-month old. She is intelligent, and has a lot of knowledge and experience with children. Her qualifications speak for themselves, however after getting to know her, you begin to realize that her gifts as a caregiver far exceed what is on paper. She sings, reads and talks to our son all day! She is ALWAYS prompt. In fact, she has never failed to show up 10 minutes before she is scheduled to arrive. Ada is very communicative and responsive to texts, calls and messages to schedule her services. Honestly, we can’t think of one negative comment. Frankly, she is wonderful and we will be happy to have her as long as we can:)
