Hi there! My name is Abrea. I am a PhD student at UVA, studying Education Psychology, with a focus on Child Development! I have dedicated to my career to supporting young people, but my work as a grad student has left me miss spending time with them! Before entering the child development research world, I worked as an Early Child Care teaching assistant and after school teacher. I've been a babysitter and part-time nanny at several points over the years. Most recently, I've supported families with morning drop off duties and date night care. I'd describe my childcare style as guided curiosity - lots of time for questions and exploration, with some structure to keep everyone safe and day moving along. I have a cute dog bestie, so I'm comfortable with dogs.
