About Abira

Hi! My name is Abira, and I'm a junior psychology major at the University of Houston. I have two summers of daycare experience as a floater, caring for children of all ages, with most of my experience in infant, toddler, and elementary care. I grew up with a younger sister and also help care for my2-year-old cousin. I've worked as a summer camp counselor with high school students. I'm calm, reliable, and communicative, CPR/First Aid trained, and suicide prevention certified. I enjoy creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children. I'd describe my personality as caring, organized, and warm. I like working with kids because I like helping them feel heard, cared for, comfortable, engaged, and supported. I'm looking for a supportive family environment where I can provide reliable, consistent care and build a positive relationship with both the children and parents. In my spare time, I like to read, go shopping, travel, and hangout with friends.
