About Abigail

Hello, my name is Abby! I'm originally from the Blue Ridge mountains right outside of Asheville, NC. I have been living in Bend for almost 2 years now working as a pre-school teacher for Bend Forest School. As the year come to a close I am looking to do some occasional babysitting and/or temporary nannying. I have experience working with youth ranging in ages from 6 weeks to 17 years old. Physical, mental, and emotional safety is my top priority. I am a Wilderness First Responder, CPR/AED certified, and I have received training on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Emotionally Responsive Trauma-informed practices. It is my belief that children learn best when allowed space to explore their ideas and curiosities. When supervising children, I create a safe and structured environment in which they have freedom to explore and have the autonomy and ability to make independent choices.
