I started working with children during high school when I volunteered with children with special needs. I then went on to work in the Christ Church of Oak Brook Daycare as well as nannying for a wonderful family for a year, as well as short-term babysitting for multiple families. Over these 5 years working with kids ages 3 months to 18 years, I discovered the joy children bring into this world and my life. I also cared for my grandmother who had Alzheimer's for 2 years and helped hire additional caregivers during this time. Through this process, I learned the value of quality care, and know it's a privilege to care for your loved ones as my own. I am a student at the University of Illinois majoring in Psychology and Nutrition and am available for weekend babysitting in the Champaign area. I interviewed Abby along with many other applicants and she definitely stood out in our selection process. She was extremely responsive with messages, on time for the interview, and answered my questions professionally. She was sweet, caring, and interacted great with my bug loving child who put a worm in her hand :). I went with another option but I would trust her watching my child!
