About Abby

Working with children has been the most meaningful part of my life! My background is in psychology, child development, and family support, and I've spent much of my education and professional experience learning how children grow, learn, communicate, and make sense of the world around them. Throughout the last few years I've also become a birth and postpartum doula, lived and worked in Florence, Italy, and collected more hobbies than I can reasonably keep up with. Along the way, I have realized that my favorite role has always been working directly with children and the people who love them! What I love most is getting to know children as individuals. For one child it's digging for worms in the backyard, for another it's baking muffins, collecting leaves, making up stories, or spending an hour explaining every fact they know about dinosaurs. I love nature, creativity, travel, and finding magic in ordinary things, and I naturally bring that into the way I work with children.
