About Abbey

Hi there! My name is Abbey. I am a creative, friendly and experienced caregiver based in Gardner and Northampton, MA. I am an EEC certified infant/toddler teacher, and I have significant experience with mealtime, sleep and bathrooming routines for young children, including toilet training. While I have recently specialized in and am certified in infant/toddler care, I have experience caring for children through elementary school. I enjoy music, dance, art and time in nature, and love incorporating these interests in my work with children. As a caregiver, I love engaging with children in art, music and movement, as well as reading and spending time outside. I am trained in the Reggio Emilia educational approach that centers relationships, environmental connection and the arts in children's development. I see children as capable agents of their own learning and development, and I am passionate about facilitating their growth.
