One Time
About who needs care: Mom is not very active. She gets up between 6 and 8 each morning, has a banana, milk and her medications. She will watch TV or look out window. Some days she's quite chatty. She has lunch between 11 and 12, usually prefers a sandwich or soup. Then she generally lays down for a bit. She has a lite dinner around 5 or 5:30 with her evening pills. Then she usually goes to bed. She may get up quite often during the night, but then goes right back to bed and to sleep. She has no issues with incontinence at all. However, because of back pain and mobility issues and occasional confusion, she needs help bathing and dressing, and needs to be reminded to take her medications.
About the care needs: Someone who may engage mom in conversation and interact with her. Mom does have a hearing problem. She wears hearing aids. Occasionally we have a morning game of "where's your hearing aid." It's usually somewhere in her bed.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
