Hi, My 75-year-old mother, former middle school Math teacher, was in a car accident and sustained a traumatic brain injury 5/20. She's recovering well, high functioning and is actively going to TBI therapy but needs help with executive function activities like organization, medicine reminders, transportation to appointments, scheduling, meal prep/cooking/planning etc. She has instability issues and needs an arm when she walks. My father, also in the household, requires knee replacements and other procedures which makes it difficult for him to focus entirely on my mothers care needs.
The ideal candidate: Assistance with medication, light housekeeping, groceries or errands when appropriate, transporting to/from appointments. Preference for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and first-aid trained.
