About who needs care: Hello, my name is Jamie B and my grandma, Soco, lives with me in the Lutz/Wesley Chapel area. She means the world to me and I consider her my best friend. She loves to cook, take walks, watch her novelas, knit, and read. Because I work full time Monday - Friday and take graduate classes, I rarely have time to take her places during the day. I am looking for someone who preferably is bilingual in Spanish and who can take her to some daytime activities we are planning to set her up for (English classes, fitness classes, etc.). She loves being out and about but is limited since because of the lack of walkability in the area and public transportation. About who needs care: I am a complete T-6 paralyzed from the waist down. I need help with housekeeping errands cooking and helping me take care of my 6 1/2 pound Yorkie. I need someone who is flexible and will work hard. Someone trustworthy and takes initiative. I am in a wheelchair. I have my upper body. I will need help. I fell in the shower and got 2 bad wounds on my backside so I've been on bed rest. I cant stay in my chair for long periods because of my wounds. We just had a caregiver quit and need someone asap for weekends 10-4 p.m. and 3 nights per week (5p-8p). Responsibilities include meal prep, getting her ready for bed in the evenings, companionship, supervision, short walks on the weekend, light housekeeping/laundry. Non-smoker is a must. My mom is chatty so someone who likes to listen is preferred. If you like cooking and watching game shows, this is an easy job. :-) My mom gets around well with her walker but just needs help with daily activities.

We have some fill in work needed for our adult quadriplegic son (no heavy lifting required). Full help with daily activities bed bath, grooming, cooking, feeding and light cleaning and use of a electric Hoyer lift. Location is in our home every Monday and Tues from 9 or 9:30 for 4 hrs. Our house is in a lovely neighborhood and our son is very easy going and easy to get along with. Must have own car and speak English to follow his directions. About who needs care: My grandmother has someone living with her but works all day and occasionally comes home for lunch. During the day she is alone and usually watches the news and picks up the house. She is very easy to get along with, enjoys gardening and talking about her life. She did love cooking as well but cant do it on her own anymore. She does have short-term memory loss and gets unsure about things.. About the care needs: Spend quality time with her. Check on groceries that have been delivered- dispose of old or expired food. Help her make meals, make sure she eats/hydrates. Occasionally drive to/from Doctors appointments, grocery shopping or a park. Must be comfortable with medicinal administration that may be required on as needed basis. Our family is looking for a help with a variety of needs such as Laundry, Cleaning (already have the house cleaned bi-weekly which would remain in place), Cooking/Meal Prep, General Errands, Grocery Shopping (mainly pickup). Our ideal assistant would be dependable, have experience/references, communicates well, is a non-smoker, and comfortable with pets. We likely need 10-12 hours/week and would likely prefer Mondays and Wednesdays but may want to do a few hours over 3 days.
