I'm looking for a great babysitter for my7-year-old child who has non-verbal autism for this summer vacation, 5-6 days a week. He is toilet trained but will need assistance in cleaning. He requires supervision for his safety. We have a 12-year-old daughter with severe autism and intellectual disability. We are looking for caregiver help to hang out with her on weekends (Sat afternoon/evening) and Sun morning/early afternoon. Hours can be adjusted if necessary. Our daughter enjoys going into the community to have a rice krispy treat from Starbucks or walk around Target or a Bookstore. We have been encouraging her physical fitness by taking 30 minute walks each day. She would need help feeding, bathing, toileting, dressing and bed. 95% of the time she is a cheerful, happy little girl who likes to interact with her caregivers and family (she has limited verbal skills). She does engage in self-injurious behavior so she does need 1:1 caretaking and we would teach the caregiver our ABA methods for managing behavior. Please see cross posting about nights.
