Elementary Reading and Writing Tutor - Job Announcement
We are looking for an exceptional elementary tutor who loves teaching ELAR (English, Language Arts, Reading, Writing, spelling, etc!)!
Elementary certified teacher (does not need to be currently teaching but must have classroom experience)
Teacher aide and/or paraprofessional with classroom experience
Education student in University
Teacher, aide, counselor, etc with specialization in learning disabilities, especially ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia
Homeschooling parent
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or currently a college student (3. 2 GPA or above in the subject areas you will tutor)
No less than 2 years tutoring and/or teaching experience
Teacher certification is a PLUS
Willingness to travel up to 15 minutes to assignments
Understanding of TEKS, and willingness to collaborate with the students' teachers
Own a computer with up-to-date Word & Excel
Have basic computer skills
Organized, punctual, communicative and reliable
Please know that our families tutor for the long-term and we are looking for tutors that will fulfill their obligations. If you are interested in short-term or over the summer assignments, please note so in the comments section so that we can align your availability with a families need.
As a Tutor Doctor tutor, you will tutor students in their pre-screened homes. Most tutoring takes place after typical school hours and/or weekends. You will be able to choose your schedule. There is no minimum or maximum number of students we require you to take.
