We have an 11-year-old who is currently in a program in Edmonds. She is amazing in language arts, but is struggling in math as she needs more processing time. She also struggles with paying attention, focusing and staying on task. She usually works much better with teachers and tutors as opposed to family, which is why we are seeking a tutor. She is working at a 6th grade math level currently and we would like to prepare her for pre-algebra next year.

Hi there, I am looking for someone who is reliable, a great communicator, is able to enforce firm boundaries, has a great sense of humor, and can mentor and connect with a sometimes resistant and grumpy 13 yr old. I need help with tutoring/ homework help for my kiddo, as well as a driver for extra-curricular activities. Your primary role some days will be driver/ mentor because my work schedule does not allow me to drive them to extracurriculars and I think being involved in something will help overall. Tutoring will be on the days that they are not in an activity. (This is what I imagine anyway - still need to figure out the activity...) Experience in ADD/ grief/ behavioral management is a plus!

We are two neighboring families seeking a fun, organized, and computer savvy caregiver to manage full-time remote learning for two children, at home in Mountlake Terrace. She is a fashion forward first grader with a love for science and a talent for negotiation. He is a piano-playing, Pokemon obsessed, pun loving second grader. Collectively, our families appreciate board games, geek culture, and the outdoors. The right person will bring enthusiasm to help our kids manage online class meetings and assignments, and creativity to engage them in non-scripted play-based learning and adventures. Prepare lunches and snacks. Some light housekeeping is required (i. e. helping the kids keep our "classroom" clean, and cleaning up from lunch/snacks.) My daughter does online school, I need someone to come help make sure she finished her classes by the time my husband and I are off work. Hours are from 2 to 4, she is 6 and very bright, in first grade and can comprehend all concepts easily, however she gets lazy or overwhelmed and often leaves classes undone. Classes are self-paced so the job is basically just sitting with her and supporting her, I prefer a question-based help system so she learns how to ask herself questions to get to the answer, but we are flexible, I just cannot keep her focused from my desk.

Mountlake Terrace family needs a part-time tutor. We are looking for someone who can help with our 3-year-old with preschool curriculum 2 or 3 days a week in the morning in our home. We are flexible for which days of the week. Start date is January 2021 with tentative end date of June 2021.

Mountlake Terrace family needs a part-time tutor for Spanish. Would like for our child to start to learn Spanish by hearing fluent speaker who is better than my rudimentary Spanish knowledge. Child is 14 months -- so pretty basic. We live near the high school, 5 minutes off I-5. Would be outdoors underneath gazebo with open sides. Prefer vaccinated applicants due to child not being able to be vaccinated.
