Elderly mother on hospice care basically just needs someone to sit with her for companionship. May need minimal assistance from sitting to standing when she needs to go to the bathroom. Otherwise pretty independent.

I need companion care for my mother in Wylie. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. She is signed up for meals on wheels. So she just needs assistance in warming it. I need someone who can watch her. She will not slow down. She wants to stay active, cleaning, washing dishes and clothes. She . She needs to be watched because she will, for example, put too much detergent in the washer, put a cereal box in the fridge, lunch meat in the cupboard, salad with dressing for the dog and coffee in the water bowl etc. Things like that. She does have a Corgi, Chihuahua mix. She doesn't bark at strangers. Hours are pretty much from about 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I work Mon thru Fri basically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About who needs care: - Conditions: CHF, COPD, - On oxygen at night while asleep only - Uses a walker for most part, but may also require wheelchair. - decently mobile but does require some assistance getting to feet. Will need assistance with daily activities such as shower, toilet, laundry, food prep. She will require transport to and from appointments. This may require lifting/helping in and out of vehicle. We are unsure if around the clock (24hr) or a shorter duration is needed. Would like to discuss options with care giver. About the care needs: Ideally someone that sews would be great, but is not a requirement. Mom's favorite hobby is sewing. Preferably someone with experience caring for patients with CHF and/or COPD is preferred. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
