My name is Lisa and I am looking for an experienced Caregiver to help care for my mother, Peggy, in her home in Ukiah. She has been in a facility in the Bay Area since she had a stroke last Thanksgiving and we want to move her back home closer to family. Our care concerns range from companionship such as engaging her in game of dominos to Mobility Assistance, Bathing / Dressing, Meal Preparation, Occasional Errands & or Shopping. Medication management is required. Some light tidying up is involved. Additional responsibilities include learning how to communicate since Peggy had limited verbal ability due to stroke. We need help with medication reminders, helping him get exercise, and monitoring his blood pressure and general health. He can walk around and generally do many self care things independently with reminders. He's a very kind person going through a difficult time. We're looking for a kind person with experience supporting seniors with similar issues. Medical training preferred. Ideally we would like to find someone with medical training (first aide, CPR, blood pressure monitoring, physical therapy skills). The home is in a residential area. You can get there by driving or take a local bus. No pets in the home.
