Part Time
About who needs care: In January 2022, I was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. As a result of having balance issues due to ALS, I fell and broke my left ankle on July 5th. The orthopedic surgeon placed a cast on my ankle and leg, and instructed me to not put any weight on said foot/ankle. This incident has left me completely dependent upon Andy, my husband. Andy helps me go from a sitting/laying position to a one legged standing position, places me in a wheelchair and moves me throughout the house (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc.) as needed. Andy needs to return to work on Monday, if at all possible.
At this time, we are in need of someone to assist me getting in and out of wheelchair or chair, going to and from the restroom (Monday - Friday) a couple times a day while he is at work. I do not anticipate needing a full-time person. Are you able to provide this type of service, how soon can someone begin, and what are your hourly rates?
Thank you for your response.
Donna M.
