I plan to start school in the future and just need someone to be able to drop/pick up my kids from school. I have three boys(ages5, 9, 13) that goes to school at different times in the morning. I need someone who could be here in the early morning 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday's and Wednesday's. 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday's. Right now for Thursday's and Friday's not sure yet. About who needs care: My father has diabetes and suffered from strokes because of it. He is still quick with a quip and likes his TV. His day is scheduled as such: 9:30am: wake up and change his diaper, get him up to eat breakfast 10: take blood sugar level and blood pressure, give my dad his medicine 10:15: should be eating breakfast that caregiver cooked Noon: light exercise for 15 minutes 12:45: takes a nap 1:45: change diaper and get him to eat lunch 3:45: take him to bed to change diaper and for him to take another nap before leaving at 4 p.m. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be patient because my dad has a strong will and he doesn't always want to follow the schedule. Being able to speak Spanish would be great, but not necessary because my dad is bilingual. About who needs care: My mom has dementia, mobility issues ( uses a Tolstoy with close supervision as she is at risk of falling) she wears diapers and cannot eat foods that are too chewy. She is hard of hearing and virtually no short term memory. She is mostly silent. Likes music, TV and and shuffling cards but can no longer play card games, read books or work puzzles. About the care needs: She (Mom prefers females) should enjoy my pets as mom does (2 dogs and a cat). Must be patient, kind and talk encouragingly to my mother. She likes people who smile and laugh. Fixing simple meals is required. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
